We are surrounded by world class theater and music which is either walking distance or a close drive.

The Walker Art Center – Just across the park from Loring Green East is the Walker Art Center. An essential experience for the culturally curious! In addition to visual arts, the Walker showcases theater, dance, film, and other multidisciplinary programs from around the world.

Hennepin Arts – Operating the State, Orpheum, Pantages and Cowles theaters featuring national and local acts, Broadway plays, musicals and dance.

The Guthrie Theater – A leading repertory theater in an iconic building, the Guthrie offers a wide range of productions throughout the year.

Orchestra Hall – Mere steps from Loring Green East is Orchestra Hall, home of the Minnesota Orchestra. The Orchestra presents nearly 200 classical, pops and jazz concerts annually.

The Dakota – The Twin Cities finest jazz club is located a block away from Loring Green East. This Intimate cabaret venue featuring a variety of live music from jazz and world music to americana and progressive rock. (And the food sizzles as much as the music!)

Parks Trails & Green Space

There are many opportunities to get out and enjoy the outdoors close to the property.  Our backyard opens (via a secure gate) onto the Loring Greenway which connects Nicollet Mall to Loring Park!

Loring Greenway – A city gem featuring café tables, grass and green spaces, playgrounds, water features and free community herbs if our greenhouse supply is limited

Loring Park – Festivals in summer, movies in the park, flower garden, tennis, pickleball and shuffleboard, playgrounds and kiddie pool, basketball hoops and occasional fireworks

Peavey Plaza – A plaza featuring amphitheater-style seating oriented around a sunken plaza which also serves as a pool basin with cascading and spraying fountains, lawn terraces, and many sculptural objects

Nicollet Mall –Activities vary by day of the week – food trucks, games, pop-up shops, music and festivals

Minneapolis Farmers’ Market – Century-old daily market for vendors selling dairy produce, plants & flowers from surrounding farms

Mill City Farmers’ Market –Saturday marketplace open for local produce, art, live music & kids’ activities

Mississippi National River and Recreation Area and St Anthony Falls–The St. Anthony Falls area has attracted people for years for its religious significance, economic power, and great beauty The National River and Recreation area is the only national park site dedicated exclusively to the Mississippi River.
